Matthew P. Mayo
Matthew P. Mayo lives with his wife, Jennifer Smith-Mayo (a freelance photographer), and their dear dog on the rugged coast of Maine, a stunning region rich in history and natural beauty. They collaborate on various projects (the Icons series of books, for example) and operate Gritty Press, publisher of adventurous reads.
When he's not engaged in fisticuffs with grizzlies, defending his family from kill-crazy sea creatures, or fixing up their old house, they like to travel.
They’ll use any excuse to hit the trail and head out West, the Hebrides, the Yukon—to any place they can score cheap tickets. Next stop: Their castle in Ireland, then it’s on to their secret volcano hideout in Fiji, then back to their ranch in Montana….
Matthew is represented by Cherry Weiner of the Cherry Weiner Literary Agency, and is a member of Boy Scouts of America (Eagle Scout); Western Writers of America; Western Fictioneers; and Grizzly Boxers Anonymous.
Mr. Mayo contributed the story, "Maple Jack and the Christmas Kid," to our Christmas Campfire Companion. You can find him online at: MatthewMayo.com.
