TEAM PYP - 2011-2012
For a brief few quarters PYP hosted a free mentored short story program called TEAM PYP. It consisted of 7 groups of 3 members each, all writing short stories for the general market. Because of a few glitches in the program, it ended up being more trouble than it was worth to me (Chila), especially, but in the meantime the publication credits have been laudable, and continue to roll in.
From this program, the following short stories have been published:
Will Rameriz had his story "Sweet Victory" published in the Bards and Sages Quarterly, October 1st, 2012.
Diane Tarantini's "Black Lungs" took second place at the WV Fiction Writers competition in the Appalachian Heritage Program out of Shepherd University. This story was also contracted for an anthology by a small press. Also, her story, "Lady in Red," took 3rd place in the Writer's Digest 2012 short story competition, inspirational category.
Liberty Speidel's "Family Reunions Are Murder" was taken by the online mag, Over My Dead Body.
Jessica Thomas had her story "Cure for Every Disease" accepted by Every Day Fiction.
Port Yonder Press offered R. E. Mills a contract for her story, "Inquisition" to be included in The Book of Sylvari, An Anthology of Elves.
Kids 'Magination picked up Linda Burklin's story "Shooting Skeet."
Grace Bridges' "Max's Black Box" has been accepted for the New Zealand anthology Regeneration from Random Static.
"Hot Toddy" was published in a small literary journal, and "Black Tie Optional" has been published in an anthology by Write Integrity Press. Author Jennifer Fromke.
