MAGGIE NONFICTION AWARD


Though our nonfiction awards have been through several iterations and included several subgenres, we're now bunching them together in our Maggie Nonfiction Award.

2021 winner - 

Eastern Iowa Review's Editor's Choice Lyric Essay Award (2018)

1st place: Eanlai Cronin's "Written in Stone" (lyric essay)

2nd place: Robert Miltner's "Narrow Roads North: Nine Haibun" (prose poetry)
